Any silver linings in this pandemic?
A family wedding likely won't be going ahead in June, which is great for me because I don't want to go.

Re: Any silver linings in this pandemic?
How about the sort of time off to spend with your kids you could only dream of due to work commitments (adults) and school attendance (kids) getting in the way?

*That will only work if your whole family/friends circle comes through unscathed.

Re: Any silver linings in this pandemic?
- No more commute to London
- Contract renewed outside of IR35
- Time to spend with the kids (they're 2 and 4)
- SIPP cashed out pre-cash so if monetary system remains intact after all the QE and stimulus taking place, should be able to have a fairly dramatic net increase in stock holdings.

This all pre-supposes I survive the pandemic of course to bear the minor fruit it might yield in the scheme of things.

I've probably had more conversation with my neighbours over the past few days than I have for the rest of the year (although that's partly been due to the crappy weather at the start of the year).

Must have been decent for the environment with all the countries having lockdowns etc.

For me, it's good as I'm more than happy staying at home for a few months and working, as it beats getting the train to London and saves me over a grand in travel which I can drink when the pubs re-open.

All my mates fucking hate it, as their wives and kids are at home annoying them :o)

The UK will resemble Portugal once this is all over due to being completely skint. Sadly global warming has been delayed by this fiasco denying us the balmy temperatures to go with the scruffy shithole our inhabitants deserve and voted for.
